Discover the delightfully whimsical world of the Sheridan Libraries’ Edible Books Festival, the annual Johns Hopkins celebration where literary inspiration transforms into imaginative, entirely edible art. Fresh off its 11th edition, the festival welcomes the Hopkins community to reinterpret beloved books through baked creations that are as clever as they are delicious. Festival organizer Heidi Herr, Librarian for English, Philosophy, and Special Collections Student Engagement, will share how this much‑loved Homewood campus tradition began and the spirit of creativity and connection it nurtures. She’ll spotlight memorable entries from this year and past festivals and offer a glimpse into how the event continues to grow through new categories and surprise touches that keep the experience lively and welcoming. The live Q&A will be moderated by Mack Zalin, Librarian for Classics, Comparative Thought and Literature, Jewish Studies, and Modern Languages and Literatures in the Sheridan Libraries.
