The Peabody Laptop Ensemble serves as a meeting point between acoustic and electronic instruments and various technological devices such as laptops, phones, and Arduinos; musicians from various backgrounds have the opportunity to participate and collaborate together in music making that is unique to the 21st century.
In this recorded lecture, professor Lyn Goeringer shares the history of the Peabody Laptop Ensemble and the shares insights on the growth of the electronic music program at the Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute.
